You can look and feel—fit, functional, and toned—with short bursts of intense cardio combined with bodyweight exercises and kickboxing drills. Our trainers combine martial arts techniques with cardio in a high-energy workout that is guaranteed to burn calories and fat. Fitness kickboxing is a non-contact class.
Sensei Sherry is the Director and Lead Instructor of our Kickboxing Program. As a USA Boxing Coach and Boxing Athlete, Sensei Sherry coaches each class with a focus on technique and authenticity to what she considers the "purest" of Sports.
As fitness specialists and Martial Artists, we apply the most current and effective fitness techniques and martial arts/boxing combos to our workouts so that you exercise as many muscles as possible from as many different angles as possible. Proper technique is an integral part of training. Our trainers will work one-on-one with you to help you perfect your technique so you get the full benefits of each move / exercise.
When performed as a fitness and weight loss program, kickboxing provides a full-body workout that targets both improvements in cardiovascular endurance and muscular toning.
In addition, regularly performing a kickboxing exercise routine works all major muscle groups in a fun and energetic way and improves balance, coordination, flexibility and self-confidence.
Kickboxing is a combination of boxing, martial arts and aerobics, and encompasses a large variety of exercise types so the chances of getting bored are slim. While the workouts may be quite enjoyable and diverse, they are also very effective at providing a total-body workout that not only burns a reasonable number of calories, but tones the muscles as well.
Kickboxing classes combine an aerobic workout with anaerobic (i.e., high intensity/short duration) exercises to maximize efficiency and results. We begin each 40-minute open kickboxing class with a warmup, amp it up with some bag work and body weight exercises, then wrap up class with Ab work, partner drills and stretching.
The number of calories burned per exercise session varies according to your weight, intensity level, duration of your exercise session and types of exercises performed.
In general, you should expect to burn between 300 to 700 calories per each 40-minute session performed.
You will work hard in this class. Bring a bottle of water, a towel, and boxing gloves. We work out on a martial arts training floor, so be prepared to be barefoot.
Men and women are welcome. We have both Male and Female experienced Martial Arts instructors to help all participants with their goal. Our classes are authentic and challenging.

Participants must be at least 14 years old for this program, with the exception of our TEEN KICKBOXING Class for students ages 11-15.

After a year of listening to my friend talk about an amazing kickboxing class I finally broke down and took one. Five minutes in I was hooked! Any doubt I had about not knowing what I was doing or not being in shape disappeared as Sherry and John take the time to teach proper technique and offer variations based on fitness abilities. My clothes fit better and my confidence has soared.
