The main goals of our Karate Kids classes are to teach the full AmeriKick Karate Curriculum, develop skilled martial arts leaders and well rounded human beings. The ages range from 3-13 years and include beginner, intermediate, advanced and black belt levels.
The Karate Kids Curriculum includes a variety of traditional styles in addition to more contemporary modern martial arts. Your child will learn the kicks of Tae Kwon Do, the hand strikes of Boxing and Kung Fu, the blocks and punches of Shotokan, the self-defense of Kenpo and the take downs and ground defense of Judo. The Karate Kids Curriculum also includes Sport Karate training, weapons training, extreme martial arts, sparring and kickboxing training. All these components have been selected and designed over the past 50 years of AmeriKick to give your child the best training on their journey to Black Belt.
AmeriKick’s Tiny Tigers curriculum is specifically designed for kids aged 3 and 4. In our half-hour classes, children will develop basic motor skills through repetitive kicking and punching drills, tumbling and rolling, basic self-defense, and stretching.
LITTLE DRAGONS (AGES 5 AND 6)
AmeriKick’s Little Dragons program is specifically designed for kids aged 5 and 6. In our half-hour curriculum-based karate classes, children will develop the skills required to advance to our youth beginner program: the ability to memorize, perform, participate in a classroom setting, listen/follow instruction, and practice individually at home. Classes focus on fundamental katas, self-defense techniques, self-discipline, and teamwork. Children will also learn goal setting through our junior belt ranking system.
YOUTH KARATE (AGES 7-13)
AmeriKick’s Youth Karate program is designed for kids aged 7 to 13. Our kenpo-based karate classes teach realistic self-defense, competition-style forms, and weapons (at the advanced level). Participation in sport-karate-style sparring sessions is required at the intermediate and advanced levels. These light-touch sessions are conducted under adult supervision and require AmeriKick-certified protective sparring gear. Kids learn goal setting through our full belt ranking system.
Beginner karate classes are 30 minutes in length; intermediate and advanced karate classes are 45 minutes. Find out if this karate class fits into your schedule.
The school is a fun, chalenging and positive learning experience for our 2 kids. This is one of the best investments we have made for them and we are very happy with the results. The sensei is very experienced and the kids all love him. I highly recommend this school for any child with a desire to learn martial arts.

My kids have been going to Amerikick North Penn since they were five years old. I can’t say enough good things about them. They have a well thought out curriculum with the theme changing each week. The teachers are wonderful. They are very knowledgeable and make each class fun. They have flexible payment plans and there are no long term contracts required.

Our children love the fun, energetic environment. The art of karate here incorporates discipline, exercise, self defense, accomplishment and enjoyment in one amazing session. The Sensei instructors have an invigorating passion with everything they teach and it shows in the caring and motivating nature within the entire studio. We highly recommend joining a program and the Amerikick North Penn family.
After a year of listening to my friend talk about an amazing kickboxing class I finally broke down and took one. Five minutes in I was hooked! Any doubt I had about not knowing what I was doing or not being in shape disappeared as Sherry and John take the time to teach proper technique and offer variations based on fitness abilities. My clothes fit better and my confidence has soared. No matter how tired I am after a long day at work or with the kids, taking a class always makes me feel better, and hitting a bag is just plain fun!
My 5 year old is taking karate too, Sensei Mike and Sensei Brad are amazing, keeping each child engaged while walking a line between fun and focused. I know my child is learning skills that will go far beyond the karate mat.
