Amerikick North Penn’s Muay Thai program is run by Sensei John Connor. John is a second degree black belt in Kenpo Karate. He has spent years learning in and out of the ring and brings these lessons in a fun safe environment. With over 15 years experience in martial arts, Sensei John shares his knowledge and skill with multiple martial arts to his students everyday.
Muay Thai is referred to as “The Art of Eight Limbs.” Using eight points of contact, the body mimics weapons of war: Hands – the sword and dagger; Shins & Forearms – armor against blows; Elbow – to fell opponents like a heavy mace or hammer; Legs & Knees – the ax and staff. The body operates as one unit. The knees and elbows constantly searching and testing for an opening while grappling and controlling an opponent.
Anyone, male or female, looking to get in tip top condition while learning martial arts is welcome to join. We train in the art of boxing, take downs,self-defense, stand up striking, and clinching. Everything is used: fists, elbows, knees and shins to give you an unbelievable training. While there is contact by students within the classes, we make our curriculum safe for male and female students. Competition training is also available at the advanced level.
Amerikick instructors are the best of the best and have many years of training and professional experience. We want our students to not just learn to be as good as their instructors but to surpass them. We’ll encourage you through challenges, inspire you to surpass your limits and keep you perfect one very move.
